I'm looking at a used 4200 4x4 with 420 loader and 47 backhoe. Asking 21,000 seems high when you can get the BX22 for 16,000,would like any feed back. How do tne Bx22 and 4200compare.

No comparison at all. The 4200 is way more tractor than a BX. $21k is a little high for a used 4200 though unless it has real low hours. Like less than 250 hours. If a BX can be gotten new with a backhoe and loader for $16k, and it suits your needs then the Kub is probably the way to go. The 4200 new with loader and backhoe went for about $23k-24k. ....

I agree, the 4200 is in a different class. In base weight, the BX goes 1500 pounds without the loader or backhoe. The 4200 starts out 1100 pounds heavier and goes up from there.

I don't have the exact numbers but I would not be surprised if a fully assembled 4200 T/L/B weighed twice as much as a fully assembled BX22.

Once you get to those sorts of numbers, 5000 pound operating weight, trailering with ordinary trucks and trailers becomes a concern. ....
